The joys.....

Am I the only parent that feels this way....you go to check your kids grades online and see that they did not turn in any work and ended up getting a 0 for their grade.....DON'T YOU WANT TO SHANK THEM????
Really. This is their job. do the work. turn it in. how hard is that?
Next month you will have to do that, AND clean the house, AND purchase the groceries, AND cook dinner, AND clean all the clothes, AND drive me everywhere, AND tend the animals AND pay the mortgage. darn it.
Oh, AND and don't you even forget the cell phone bill....sista.

word.

  5. Oh how I remember those days of kids and their homework..back then they didn't have these kinds of things on-line so parents could check. They just had a homework journal that they were suppose to bring home every day and IF they remembered to, I could check it. How nice(or maybe not) that would have been to be able to check it on-line. So yeah, I remember wanting to "shank" a kid from time to time. Some days it was pure maddening.

  6. I'm laughing... at first I thought you said "shake"... then I see you said "shank".

You are, my darling, Mother Of The Year.

And yes, J got two NHI's on his progress report (NHI - Not Handed In) - for this particular class, he gets a one week grace period to get the work turned in, then it turns into a big fact "0". Needless to say, we had a little CHAT last night. (Tonight, I will threaten to SHANK....) ;-)

  7. I am the teacher who sends out those reports, and I can't tell you the number of parents who email me back complaining that I am at fault for not giving suzyq an extension, a better explanation, a cup of tea so she could finish the HW.
