A crime has occured.

And it happened weeks ago.

I am sure it has happened to you too.

While picking up your candy corn and decorative gourds, you should never hear Christmas Carols playing over the loud speaker. image.axd

This is so wrong. This triggers something in me that comes from deep down inside.

I can’t be held responsible for cart/ankle injuries because of *PCTD.

*Premature Christmas Traumatic Disorder*

This makes me want to stick a fork in my ear while running/shrieking through the aisles of my local store.

Must write letters to congress.

Will you support me on this platform?

  1. Thankfully I haven't yet come across any Christmas-y stuff but I'm expecting to do so at any minute! Its really frustrating as I am at the stage where I am trying to make the whole frantic run-around as lowkey as possible.

  3. I'm with you completely on this, but you seem to have much more confidence in the effectiveness of Congress than I do.

  7. I just went to Kohl's last week, and all the Christmas stuff was out!?!?! Crazy! They should at least wait until the day after Thanksgiving!

  8. By the time I am in the mood to buy Halloween, the shelves are empty and it's all Christmas. By Christmas, it will all be Valentine's!

  9. I saw Christmas trees, with twinkly lights and decorations in Costco about 3 months ago!
    I screamed.
I was thrown out of the store.
I am still suffering from PCTD.
I am looking for a support group. ;-)

  10. I'll join your cause Suz! Seriously, it should be a crime to play Christmas music BEFORE Thanksgiving!

  11. I used to be mad, until I realized how much I love Christmas decorations, and now I'm OK with it!

  12. I agree! We've skated right past the fall holidays right on into C-mas... the trees have been up forever already. It's just nuts. I think the music at this point... hello, October?? would be the last straw!

  13. Yes, I'm already seeing xmas stuff! It's just not right!

  15. When the grandkids stayed with me in June/July this year, we had to get some "crafty" things at Michaels. In the back part of the store they had Halloween things up - the next aisle had Christmas things. How in the world can anyone think of Christmas when it is 114 degrees outside??? Put my signature on that bill to Congress too :)

  17. I really don't understand the mad crush of consumerism surrounding the holidays. Kinda dulls the festivities for me... :(

Why does life need to be rushed so much?

  18. I completely agree...Christmas should not appear until Halloween has been put away. But, when I expressed this opinion I was informed (in a tone that implied I was stupid) that it was only two months until Christmas.

  19. ...I totally support you. The only thing coming over those speakers this time of year should be the "Monster Mash," "I Put a Spell on You," or "That Old Black Magic." What are these store people thinking?

  20. I am so with you on this matter. I was taking teenagers to a bowling alley yesterday and behold- lots of hotels on the seafront of Morecambe with their CHRISTMAS TREES UP already. Give it a rest people- its only October. I refuse to engage until December- simple as.

  21. I will so support you on this! It's an outrage, do we just skip Thanksgiving?

  25. I agree...it's sad, and it makes me feel rushed. I want to savor the holidays in order! It's crass and premature...we encountered the dreaded premature decorations in the mall last week. It's time to enjoy the mini-pumpkins & mini-candies, first.

  26. Yeah, it seems the stores are putting out the Christmas stuff earlier each year. Come on, let's get through one holiday without thinking of another one that 2 months away. What's the hurry? Oh, and I'm a boxer fan myself. I have two.

  28. I totally agree 100 % and will support you in this movement in any way I can. As long as it doesn't involve me eating candy corn... blah!
