This is number 8 because I may have been around that age when this FIRST happened to me.
When I was a kid, I apparently had some allergy issues that we did not know were happening.
I would get dark circles under my eyes. I recall being told this by people....family members, teachers, friends parents.
"Suz, are you ok? You have circles around your eyes"
This always perplexed me.
I would go to the mirror and look for the circles. I would never find the circles.
I would start to wonder if I had bad eyesight. I could not see the circles.
Seriously, this is what I thought I must look like.
I was always looking for those little circle shapes around my eyes....
I won't tell you how old I was when I finally realized it was ONE BIG circle that I had!!!
hee...it's not funny but yet it is..poor girl!! Glad you figured this one out!! What a cutie you are!Just a thought..are you allergic to cats? Cats=circles

HA HA HA Suz.... That's okay...When my Mama would get something in her eye, she'd always say, "It feels like an elephant in my eye." That was a puzzlement to a little girl who kept wondering how that elephant got in her eye.... HAR HAR HAR
ReplyDeleteYou are a pretty blonde though!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
That's cute Suz! It's funny the things we think when we are young (and not so young!).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Kitty.
I had one just like it!
=) Bella
Suz, I love this post. Since I live with a blonde, I understand completely! (I may be in trouble now).
ReplyDeleteTHAT was exactly what I needed to start this morning from hell!!! Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteYOU are just TOO funny! And aren't kids minds just way TOO simple. I told my son, when he was bout 4, that we had to go pick up his dad's truck and he asked me, "Isn't it very heavy?"
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny!!! I just want to know did your mom do your hair when you were that little because it looks perfect and curled?!
ReplyDeleteYou sure are a cutie!
Awwwww.... how cute.
ReplyDeleteAnd look at your precious little girl self!
when my grandpa worked in the ship yards they workers used to tell the young lads like him to go and get ' a long stand in the yard'. After twenty minutes of puzzling in the freezing cold they made the connection.
ReplyDeleteHa!! We used to pass a sign on the interstate that read Highway 299 3/4. I could not figure out why they didn't just name the road Highway 300!
ReplyDeletePS - You have to click the link to read about my bear encounter.
I'm not blonde, but I used to have alergies that made my eyes itch. I would rub and rub until they hurt...then freak out when ever one of my aunts would tell me my eyes were blood shot. I'd look in the mirror and never did see the blood.
ReplyDeleteYou were such an adorable little girl.
I'm telling you, we must be related!
ReplyDeleteThe english language is so complicated.
ReplyDeleteThat's right up there with adults feeling a child's neck and telling them that their "glands are swollen"! Terrifying!!
ReplyDeleteI'm also a member of the Former Siamese Cat Owners Club:) BUT, my hair was NEVER that cute:/
Aaah for the innocence of the blondes !
ReplyDeleteI' m joking!
Usually we have a trip planned to FL but not this time.I am coming to Disney for a race tho

ReplyDeletesuz: when i was a kid i always thought that chip on your shoulder meant just that. chip! as in french fries to you americans. i never got it either.
ReplyDeleteand i wasn't even a natural blonde.

Were you also always wondering why you could never see the frog in your throat? I know I was.
ReplyDeleteWhen I have "Duh!" moments, my sister says that my blonde roots are showing.
ReplyDeleteTee hee!
I think you are stunningly beautiful : ) even if you have circles! Those little ones are very funny. I wish you would have used a marker to make them on your face because that would have been so clever!
ReplyDeleteI want a baby. Could you please talk to Gary about it? I will send you his number! I think you would be a GREAT convincer!
Even with the circles you were such a cutie pie!
