Before AND After

We all like to see Before and After pictures...don't we?

Sure we do.
Allrighty then....

See the nice custom shelf that Coach made for our shampoo & soap in the shower? See it?

Now you see it
Now you don't.
My husband Hercules was merely closing the shampoo lid, while the shampoo bottle sat on the shelf....and the shelf hit the floor and as he put it "marble was flying everywhere"

Very funny, considering I rest my foot on this shelf when I rarely shave my legs and I have not made it move an inch. HeMan.

My good friend Kelly brought over potted Stargazer lillies this past weekend for me. They were all closed when they arrived.

Aren't they just gorgeous??
Kelly is such a good friend....the kind of friend that remembers almost everything...she did our wedding flowers for us wayyyyy back when we got married. (almost 18 yrs ago)
The stargazer Lillies were the flowers in my bridal bouquet... HOW SWEET!!

  1. Oh, no! Two catastrophes in your house! I'm sorry!

The stargazer lillies are beautiful! My boss bought me a huge floral arrangement yesterday, and there's one stargazer lilly in it which just opened this morning. It's gorgeous!

  5. My husband loves those marble shower shelves! But they haven't fallen off. I don't know what he used to install them, but I wish they would fall off; I hate marble. Too much up keep. There are so many ceramic tiles that look like natural stone. I made sure he used the look alikes in our new bathroom and they look great!
And your poor vase, bad cat, bad cat! ;)

  7. Hmmmmm, Suz... Are you sure that Hercules didn't break the vase also?????? ha ha... OR---maybe he can blame the cats on breaking the shelf in your shower!!!!!

Poor thing---glad (after all of your ordeal) that you got some gorgeous lilies. I love the Stargazers also.

Hope the rest of the day goes well... (Keep the cats and Hercules in the garage for awhile!!!) Ha Ha
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  8. Stargazer lillies are my favorite!

I know all about cats.......our cat is 18, a love but she meows constant now...I was told some cats do that because they get confused when they get old........

As much as I love animals, once the cat is gone, I am done .......hubster is going to retire in a couple of years sooner if he wins the lottery....(fat chance) and I just want to get up and go whenever we want..........poor Shadow I have her one paw in the grave........!!!

Gee that was a nice vase.....!

Gee do you think just maybe you could have loosen the shelf by putting your foot on it and it just happen to be coaches luck that it broke on him......Nah he must of leaned on it ..right!

  13. I love those flowers!!! Beautiful. I cannot wait until it goes from brown to green around here but I'm not complaining because it's so much better than white. I love that vase you had before some stinkers did their damage...I bet those flowers looked pretty in it too. Are the cats still hiding?

  17. How could you possibly think that your sweet and innocent kitty broke that vase when it was clearly a result of a shift in the earths rotation?

(Lorenzo told me to write this.)

  18. Oh...at least you can get some blogging miles out of the shelf and vase...but still a bummer!

...and what's nicer than a grat friend and lillies?!

  19. I knew that was the work of the cats. Your boxers are way too sweet for that. Hmm...I love cats, but I DON'T like it when they GET ON THE FURNITURE, COUNTERS, etc. (can you hear me yelling from here?) I'm so sorry for the breakage in your house, but I love those lilies, especially from here. They are so pretty, but boy, they make me sneeze & my eyes water. Thanks for sharing yours so we can enjoy them without the suffering!

  21. so sorry about your nice shelf! I have a marble seat in my shower and now I'm afraid when I sit on it to shave my legs it might crash.

Maybe the cats don't like sunflowers.

  23. one good thing about my cat being old, fat and slightly decrepit is that she can only stay low to the ground now. those days are over. and i do not miss them. there's a lot to be said for an old cat. :-)

  24. Ahh, the true cost of hair care products nowadays. And you are probably wondering if tennis rackets are still made with cat gut.

  25. Hate to hear about the broken things. The Stargazer lillies, though, are just gorgeous!

  26. So you're married to a he-man too?! Our moto is there's nothing that can't be broken(by Patrick). To make him feel better I break a few things too.Just to make him feel better mind you.
I can't be harsh on your cat, as our pooches seem to do their fair share of destruction.(Come visit their blog & see what they did yesterday!)
Lastly, your lily pics are lovely. Fun post.
