Gallery
as in My Photo Galleries....
I treasure all my family pictures...new and old.
Family room
Hallway .....I painted the mat's to make the photos stand out a bit.
Hallway.....this is a very special collage made for me after my 40th bday by 2 of my wonderful friends. It contains pictures of us from the last 20 years and of my birthday weekend in NYC. I still catch myself pausing to gaze at the pictures now and then....
Brought to you by A-Z Mondays
I love how you have displayed all of your pictures. I just might have to give this a shot. Great post.
ReplyDeleteI keep saying I'm going to get my act together and organize some family pics so I can do the same thing. Never seems to happen. P is for procrastinate.
ReplyDeleteLove the 40th birthday collage!
I looove photo galleries... and the collage is to die for! You are so lucky :-D
ReplyDeleteWhat a Great way to display and visit your memories.
ReplyDeleteI love the colorful mats that make your photos stand out. What a wonderful idea to keep the "memories" out where you can enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteI love the skinny shelves you have your photos on, the mats look beautiful too on the other ones! YOu have a lovely display!
ReplyDeletegood G! nothing like pictures - you can relive it all whenever you want, or peek at a loved one you miss!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely testament to how much you value your family. G is for great post!
ReplyDeletei love your photo galleries, too!! there are like a magnet to me... even though i've paused to peek at them a million times, i can never resist another look!
ReplyDelete(yes! unnerving! people could be sneaking right around and you would never know!! what if someone hid a treasure in your yard?? i don't know who would... but you never know!!)
Also love to display pictures all over my house. Love the way you have displayed yours! Looks great. What a great gift the collage is!
ReplyDeleteI feel just the way you do about family photos. They're everywhere!
ReplyDeleteVery nice, my dear - you have a knack (nack?) ... neither one of those look right...
ReplyDeleteAnyway.... you have a THING for decorating!
And I love the collage - what a great idea!
I LOVE those picture collages! Slowly, but surely, I'm getting my favorite photos on display:)
ReplyDeleteI really like the family room photo galley. This was a great 'G' entry.
ReplyDeleteYour photo galleries are wonderful. I never get tired of looking at photos; I even like looking at other people's photos, if they want to share them with some interesting story-telling! That collage is a treasure.
ReplyDeleteI like the shelves with the photos on them. Neat idea. I just have mine hanging all over the wall, but I have frames I want to use that I can't really hang. I need to go shopping for some shelves now...
ReplyDeletethe collage is fabulous, pictures always make me happy
ReplyDeleteOooh I have what we refer to as the "hall o' love" at my house too. And I have pictures I find myself stopping to check out over and over too. We'd be BFFs is you lived closer, I know it!
ReplyDeleteSeriously loving the painted mats. I have never seen that and I love love love it! Will copy you for sure!!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG!! See, we really are kindred spirits! I have pictures EVERYWHERE in my house. It drives my family NUTS!! They all make fun of me, but hey, I don't care! Just Friday night, my mother made some kind of snarky comment about how being in my living room is like being in a shrine to Stud Muffin (she made this delightful comment to "the girl"'s mother, of all people!) Whatever!! Maybe I'll post a few photos of my photos...
ReplyDeleteI love pictures, too--have them everywhere in my house. They make me so happy!
ReplyDeleteYours look great!
I love your 'gallery' Suz... Both George and I have TONS of pictures. I used to have an entire wall full of my family pictures. When we got married and moved here, we put most of our family pictures in albums --and are using our walls for 'our' stuff and our life together. We do have a grandchild wall--which I'm sure I'll blog about someday.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing... That collage must have been extremely special for you. Wonder what your friends will do for you when you turn 60 or 70 or 80?????
Hugs,
Betsy
I love the family room shelves with the pictures. I need some help in this area. Particularly going up our steps in our foyer. Nothing is on the wall and it looks so bare. We have a tall foyer (18') and it definitely needs something there.
ReplyDeleteLove that your friends made the collage for you. How sweet. They must be great friends.
Much love from NJ,
Sue
xoxo
Your walls remind me of ours - at least I think we have walls back there behind all the pictures...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to paint the mattes! You are a smartie. I love how your pics are displayed, esp the collage. It's so fun to look at pics and get sucked back into the memories.
ReplyDeletePhotos in a home ... the more the merrier! Love the collage. xoxo.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures...I treasure mine too!
ReplyDeleteMy entry way "table" was purchased at a craft faire...I love country looking stuff...I finally got the curtains made for it this weekend too...and the basketball is not supposed to be there either...but I can't keep the kid from leaving his belingings all over it!
This is what I HATE about digital cameras. In the stone ages back when I used to mail the film away and get - woot - DOUBLES, I would take 1 set and add to the photo album and the other and make collages. Everyone in my house stopped aging 6 years ago when we got our first digital and I never ever printed another photo....
ReplyDeleteI love photos all over a home. It makes it more...well, a home!
ReplyDeleteYou have quite the Gallery Suz! Most of our photos are boxed up. When we downsized they went in boxes and only a few have come out. Your Gallery is making me feel Guilty! Good G word.
ReplyDeletegood god, girl....

I love pictures too. Guess who has about a zillion frames in the garage waiting to be hung? Oh yes, that would be me. Guess who hasn't hung them in a year and 9 months since we moved in...that would be Gary. I should just do it myself, but the hammer makes me nervous...
ReplyDeleteI love all of those! Thanks for the inspiration. :)
