You simply taunt them with feathered friends.
I put out bird feeders years ago and a bath just recently with the intention of helping out nature.
It ends up, I like it for myself…to watch nature.
Possibly, I am torturing my cats though…and I secretly like that part also!
“The reason cats climb is so that they can look down on almost every other animal - it's also the reason they hate birds.” ~K.C. Buffington
The problem with cats is that they get the exact same look on their face whether they see a moth or an axe-murderer. ~Paula Poundstone
I don't think dogs could ever take over the world, but cats? I think we should be lucky they don't speak.
ReplyDeleteToo cute! My cat loves to sit on the dining table and stalk 'wildlife' in the backyard... including birdies and squirrels. I always wonder if she thinks they'd make a tasty treat. :p
ReplyDeleteYour last picture is priceless. Your quotes nicely summarize my feelings about cats!
ReplyDeleteThe quote and the last picture are perfect together. Do the cats "look" the same way when they see Rocky too?
ReplyDeleteCats are certainly in a class of their own.
ReplyDeleteAt least you are not one of those people who put out the bird feeder in the yard where they have outdoor cats. Really? You're a bird-lover?
ReplyDeleteIf cats could operate machinery, they would rule the world.
ReplyDeleteI once heard that dogs have masters and cats have servants.
when karen and i first got married we had two pets... a caged bird, and a cat. of course our cat would "measure" that bird every day. one morning we woke up found our bird stone cold dead. we feared the cat scared the bird into a heart attack... i will not have that combination again... though i would have a fish and a cat together... he he...
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about cats' expressions. Funny, funny post Suz. Happy 4th to you and the family.
ReplyDeleteI almost feel sorry for your kitties...almost...except I do the same thing to Marvin. DO your kitties plaster themselves across the glass smushing their faces to look at the birds too? I'm convinced this is why Marvin's nose looks wider to me. :-)
ReplyDeleteFunny Suz... I love that last Paula Poundstone comment. Made me laugh outloud.
ReplyDeleteYou are torturing your cats... OR maybe not. You are giving them free entertainment for hours and hours...ha
Cute post.
Hugs,
Betsy
Awesome! I am LMAO!
ReplyDeletehaha! you better watch out! don't make them too mad... i seem to recall those kitties have their ways of getting even!
ReplyDeleteI love that last picture!!
ReplyDeleteHilarious! I'm not a cat lover, but I get the look! JJ has the same look, but he squirms and wimpers when he watches the birds.
ReplyDeleteGreat cat quotes.
ReplyDeleteI love bird feeders for many reasons. I hadn't thought of the cat angle, since I don't have a cat right now -- but I can see how watching cats watch the birds would be entertaining, too.
this is TOO funny!!!!
ReplyDeletethink of it as kitty tv...
ReplyDeleteWe are cat lovers here too...love your post and all the comments that follow!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, that last picture is PRICELESS. I love the angle, right over the top of the head! CUTENESS!!!
ReplyDeletehil freaking arious : )
ReplyDeleteThat sounded odd didn't it!
Rats, I wanted to sound cool. Please love me anyway!
