My death flashed before my eyes.

One of the items on our "must do" list for Costa Rica was zip lining. The Coach and I had done this in 2005 in Costa Rica....and it was a blast.
If you paid attention here, you'll remember I am terrified of heights....but I pushed through my fears...all in the name of fun. I didn't even have wine before this and for that I should get a street highway named after me.
This particular zip tour consisted of Eleven zips mixed in with some steep stairs and more hanging bridges than I cared for. I felt more secure on the zip line than crossing those creepy death causing swinging bridges.
We inquired about the safety of this while we were signing our lives away and the owner assured us it was all good.....Steven Tyler had just been there.
Oh, and the Pitt-Jolie family had been there as well. They had a photo of Kim Kardashian who had zipped here and that made us all feel better.
I mean, she never makes rash decisions.
You asked for video. I give you video.
I don't think this is one of the longest zips, nor the fastest...but anyhoo, the thought of plunging to my death went through my head at least 192 times.
FYI: The helmets add 3 more chins than I normally have and my voice is not really that annoying in person. In person it is more annoying.
Notice I am clarifying when I need to brake on this one....either the middle or the end depending on the speed of the zip. Clarifying things is a hobby of mine.
And Laughing LoLo.
She earned the nick name Squeaker at the ripe old age of 6 months. She has been living up to that name for 18 1/2 years now. She laughs. She squeaks. She squeals. She is awesome.
Did you have as much fun as I did? Did you need a clean change of undies like I did?
Just watching these again, I can feel a nap coming on.

So, are you naming your street Busy Bee Avenue or Busy Bee Blvd?

xoxo

  2. Oh wow..that is something I don't think I could ever get up enough nerve to do. Especially since I would be the one in charge of figuring out how to break while my eyes were closed. Not a good plan. Glad you survived. : )

  15. I'm very impressed with your courage and poise as you zipped away. You'll have to settle for Busy Bee Road here in the Glade -- we don't have Avenues or Boulevards.

  16. You're officially my hero! So courageous! Anna screams just like LoLo.
I think we should name it Busy Bee Expressway!

  21. I am totally impressed that with all the equipment, etc. you had to wear that you would carry the camera, too! But of course you had to have the camera for our entertainment - - - because those memories will never leave your head.
Glad you had fun doing that. I don't have it on my bucket list though.
