Is with something potent and delicious in my cup.
I am not a coffee fiend. I just need one or two cups in the morning. (or else someone gets shanked)
I usually play it safe; a little flavored soy milk or some sugar free hazelnut mixed with my joe.
But this time of year, I am just c-r-a-z-y.
Crazy I tell you.
I am having my morning necessity with a bit of Pumpkin Spice.
Just call me spicy.
No, really, CALL ME SPICY!
I am trying to fool myself that it is not 87 degrees outside with 85% humidity.
It works.
Until I actually go outside.
Oh, ginger snap.
Baby It’s hot outside.

Are you a coffee drinker?
Did your Grandpa teach you the art of dipping toast in your coffee?
It is still good to this day.
There is NO life before coffee! I have two cups every morning, and I prefer my coffee very strong and without anything in it. Thankfully it finally got cooler here, which makes the morning coffee even more enjoyable...
ReplyDeleteI'm not a coffee girl but I enjoy dipping my toast in tea or hot chocolate! Peanut butter toast dipped in hot chocolate is DELICIOUS! Try it sometime! Also your last post was cute! You and your girls are adorable! You can tell there is a lot of love in your family!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds yummy and I'm not a coffee drinker. At all. It's chilly here. I am not a fan of chilly. So your warm temps actually sound nice to me. : )
ReplyDeleteYes I love my coffee with nothing in it though...way too much...I may have to stop all together and I am sad about that. My grandma taught me the dunking toast into coffee thing...so delicious.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday! XX
Drinking my Dunkin Donuts coffee as I read this :)
ReplyDeleteI am a coffee fiend in that I need to have at least one cup before I am fully awake. I take my coffee black, but that pumpkin spice does sound pretty good. And no, I don't dunk toast in my coffee.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the Pumpkin Spice but it sounds like a real treat. Hope you have a great day Suzanne!
ReplyDeleteNo coffee here, but I do love me some Diet Coke!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to Target RIGHT NOW for some of that. YUM!
ReplyDeleteoh i love coffee on a cold day. and that pumpkin spice flavor would make it so festive. perfect for the holiday coming....
ReplyDeletemy daddy used to dunk his toast in his coffee, so did my mom. now my sisters do it. i don't like it, soggy bread is not appealing. i like my toast crunchy....with jelly, or peanut butter, or just butter. or sometimes if i make it "cretons" from a recipe of my family. it is a canadian pork spread, WONDERFUL! great on toast with a titch of mustard. YUMMO! now i have to get the stuff to make it....dang.
anyhoo...have a wonderful rest of the week, and weekend. hope you get cooler weather. my daughter is in ft. walton area....she said she had hot weather too! icckkk!
My grandma taught me to dip cinnamon toast into hot chocolate. Delish!
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of the pumpkin spice, too.
I cannot wake up without a cup of coffee. Philistine that I am I prefer instant and I despise flavours in my coffee. So don't even think about making me any when I pop in for a visit.
ReplyDelete;-)
My Granpa taught me to pour a little coffee (with milk and sugar) into a saucer and then really slurp it up. You had to make the sound, of course. It also cooled it. This is one of my fondest memories of him.
ReplyDeleteYou know what a coffee fiend I am! I almost got the pumpkin spice but chose the peppermint mocha instead...
ReplyDeleteDear Spicy,
ReplyDeleteYou can sleep when you're dead, drink more coffee!
I just finished a little bottle of caramel apple. YUM!
ReplyDeleteI usually drink a decent sized cup at work in the morning...I haven't mastered the art of actually making it myself...besides, it tastes better when someone else makes it!
i couldn't decide which to buy... so the shelf of my fridge holds pumpkin spice, caramel apple, gingerbread, peppermint mocha....
ReplyDeletei had coupons :)
I don't dip the toast, but I sure love the coffee. Hmm, maybe I should try the pumpkin spice.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger, my parents told me I'd learn to drink coffee in college... NO... Then they said I'd learn to drink coffee once I was married... NO...
ReplyDeleteI didn't start drinking coffee until I was about 50 yrs. old... NOW ---I LOVE it. And the best thing for me is waking up in the morning to the smell of our coffee brewing... Oh how I love that timer!!!!!!
I love flavored coffee --and drink French Vanilla most of the time. BUT--I'm sure I'd love that Pumpkin... YUM...
Hugs,
Betsy
Toast dunked into your coffee = awesome!! And, yes, it was my grandparents that taught us that little trick.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how the heck I missed the Pumpkin Spice creamer! I have every other flavor every made. I love the flavors that come out for the holidays! Peppermint, Gingerbread...yum!
BTW, it's currently about 54 in my house. I'm sitting on my bed, cuddled up under...wait for it...a Snuggie!!! (Stud and his dad bought it for me over the summer, kinda as a joke, but now the jokes on them!) There's a raging storm going on outside, and rain is pounding against my window right now. It almost sounds like hail. We didn't get the snow I was promised yet, but now they're saying either tonight or tomorrow. Woo hoo!
A morning without coffee is... sleep.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely need my hot fresh latte to get the brain going!!
The other day I was looking at all these amazing coffee mate flavors, and then I checked the ingredients and couldn't even pronounce half of those chemicals.
I passed.
I know, I'm a weenie!
Not spicy like you ;-)
I wanted to be a coffee drinker (I wanted my own mug) so I really tried to like it. I just couldn't make it taste like hot chocolate.
ReplyDeleteI really love the smell of coffee brewing but cannot cope with the taste. However, our ladies at work love your creamer flavors, too.
ReplyDeleteNot a coffee drinker.
ReplyDeleteWe've got you beat today--we just about hit 100. I'm way over it.
I am a coffee drinker, french press, no sugar, a tiny bit of low fat milk.
ReplyDeleteLove the smell, taste, and even the feel of the warm mug in my hand....
I have P and J mugs that look suspiciously similar to your S mug. Great minds!!
Oh - and I shank people without provocation. It keeps my family and friends on their toes. :)
I wish I liked coffee because that pumpkin creamer sounds divine!
