On Saturday LoLo and I were in the kitchen making sammies.
Upon opening the fridge and seeing a jar with a lone pickle in it, she declared: “That pickle looks amazing. I must photograph it”
She grabbed the jar and headed outside.
I didn’t even ask….and that’s what makes me a ‘Mother of the year’ candidate.
Thus started a photo session with my big ol’ camera.
Behold.
Le’ lone pickle.
I suppose a good story teller would start this with: Well, there was this lonely pickle sitting by the pool…
And along came this cute and portly pickle loving frog.
Sadly, that will be the end of the pickle part of the story; for then the photographer was distracted by other beautiful things.
Gorgeous Florida sky.
Beautiful Geranium baby buds.
And sweet delicious ‘mater buds….freshly watered for your viewing pleasure.
And a lovely quote for today. Enjoy friends.
She is quite talented…or am I just partial???
I think that pickle is dead..
ReplyDeleteit's floating.
She has a good eye. For the first time this season, my lone tomato plant put on a tomato...Three days before the freeze! ARG!
ReplyDeleteShe is great! And so is that lonely pickle. : ) love your buds.
ReplyDeleteThe frog and the pickle is my favorite. I expect to see it on the cover of a book someday.
ReplyDeleteShe does have a great eye-- and a great mom. :)
What has happened to the pickle since it met up with the portly frog?
ReplyDeleteLove Jen's comment :)
ReplyDelete"portly pickle loving frog"
ReplyDeleteThat may be the best line from any blog I've read today.
This isn't a announcement that she's pregnant, right?
ReplyDeleteThat Florida sky! sigh. It's lovely. I wish I could live in Florida instead of here. You are so lucky.
ReplyDelete:-)
I love it that she just takes pics of whatever strikes her fancy. Very fun! I take pics of evverything too. But I can't say that I've taken any pickles outside though. : )
ReplyDeleteexcellent pictures!
ReplyDeleteI love when I don't realize my son has gotten hold of my camera until I see the 101 pictures of the dog ;)
WELL---you could have continued the story by taking the lone pickle out of the jar and then showing the empty jar next to the smiley, pickle-loving frog.... THEN---we'll really know what happened to that pickle!!!!! ha ha
ReplyDeleteCute post and a talented daughter --of course.
Hugs,
Betsy
I'm still trying to get over that LoLo wanted to take a picture of the pickle! Future blogger, perhaps! :D
ReplyDeletei too would like to know what happened to the floater pickle. did the famished frog frolic in the pool with it? did someone eat it or bury it? please don't keep us hanging...i won't be able to sleep tonight for worry of said pickle....lol.
