I don't want anyone to freak out, but I have some important health news to share.
There is a virus going around called Ebola. Don't flip your lid. But, please, wash your hands as necessary and don't swap bodily fluids with anyone who might be under the weather.

You're welcome.
2) This is a photo of Oil and Water.
Behold: Linds and Lolo dressed up for Halloween many years ago. It's clear to see they are on a different wave length; Miss USA and Miss Army!
3)
We've lived in our house for 17 years and we've never had a trick or treater. Living in a rural area with no sidewalks and a few acres in between houses keeps the kids away.
Lazy azz kids; they won't even walk for candy.

Does anyone else cringe reading face book statuses that are FILLED with spelling and grammatical errors? I mean to say, I'm not perfect, not even close. But I'm shocked to see so many people (college graduates!!) that have a hard time putting a sentence together.

How has life been any fun before the show Modern Family?
In my book, {and that's the only one that matters} it's right up there with Friends and Seinfeld; slap your mama funny.
Are you a Modern Family watcher or is your bladder inadequately able to deal with it?
Wishing you all a safe and germ free weekend!!!
I like your pictures of the Halloween Past girls. We don't get many trick-or-treaters around here either. What a shame -- no one to hep us eat that candy!
ReplyDeletei'm happy to be on a long driveway with a locked gate up front - just have to worry about my mailbox making it through the weekend... :) digging miss army.
ReplyDelete#1 Fear mongering.
ReplyDelete#2 A friend has twin girls, one is a ballerina and the other is a boxer.
#3 I live in the country and get a few kids every year. Maybe the word is out that you give lousy candy.
#4 Come on dear, I'm a college grad and spelling and grammar ain't my thing, or is it, isn't my thing.
#5 Who's this Modern Family? I'm old school.
Have a great weekend. Tom The Backroads Traveller
Cute photo of the girls. John showed me your and Jeff's photo on fb too. Neighbors on our street say we don't get Trick or Treaters either. Wishing you guys a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love Modern Family. And Brooklyn 99 is a hoot! And we still watch Seinfeld reruns...that show never stops being funny!
ReplyDeleteYour girls are so beautiful, even when they are dressed in their "Camo" and "MissyMurica" costumes.
ReplyDeleteYES to the Modern Family love. I'm thrilled that it's being re-run now on the comedy channels!
Have a great weekend, one and all. xoxo
Cute costume and make up....if it were me at their age, I'd probably be Ms. Army too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Haunting!!!
I had never been trick or treating in my life (short at best) when I had kids and was faced with dressing the little stinker up in costume and taking them out.... at night... to get candy they didn't need. Of course, I ate part of it. hehe
ReplyDeleteWe live in a subdivision, but sort of "in the back" on a dead end street and we hardly ever get any trick or treaters. We used to go all out decorating, but it wasn't worth the effort. This year we're not even trying and are going to a Halloween party instead.
ReplyDeleteI know my grammar isn't always correct, but since English is my second language I don't expect it to be. I do try very hard though and those horrible fb post drive me crazy! I actually hid some people because I couldn't stand to read their post anymore.
I LOVE Modern Family, it's one of my favorite shows!!
Have a spooktacular Halloween!!
We were on a plane last week and I was the crazy lady with the Lysol wipes, making my girls wipe off their tray and arm rests. Who knows when those things were cleaned last! Eek!
ReplyDeleteHalloween? Every year I buy enough Candy for 75 kids, have 20 trick or treaters and then eat enough candy to feed 55 children. I haz a problem.
oh that is funny, are they still total opposites? rofl, lazy azz kids, right?!! we love modern family but i have to say that gloria's voice gets on my nerves...it's like every year her accent thickens...it's like nails on a chalkboard...i want to rip my ears right off my head...have i mentioned she annoys me?! but the show really is brilliantly hilarious and don't they do the most awesome halloween episodes...kinda like back in the day when roseanne always had a great halloween show...about the grammar, i always laugh when i read the comment section to articles linked and people are all slamming each other, with terrible grammatical mistakes. i will admit though, i am terrible at knowing where to put commas...i just put them any old place and if i'm really not sure what to do, i do this.... :D happy halloween! thank you for linking!
ReplyDeleteYep those two girls were very different in their approach to Halloween costumes. It's always fun to see what they come up with.
ReplyDeleteEbola is certainly in the news a lot lately. It's scary but hopefully they find a cure for it soon.
I do hate grammer and spelling errors and you would think with (spell check) they could atleast use it.
Interesting comment about Ebola...I'm more worried about enterovirus. It affects kids and is deadly and spreads fast--is already in almost every state (Ebola is limited to people who have been to W Africa fighting the disease, what five, now?) I agree about grammar errors. I have a hard time with certain pet peeves I see constantly! Your kids are cute in their costumes from years before. Have a good night!
ReplyDeletewe don't get 'modern family' here-love the Miss Army and Miss USA shot- we live in the middle of a medieval village and H isn't a big deal here, so each year comes and goes with out one T or T's but last evening we had 16 T or T's it was great fun (I'm Canadian and love H).
ReplyDeleteToo funny oil and water flashbacks .
ReplyDeleteWe got not ONE not one trick and not one one treater yesterday either ~ same reason probably too far to walk out here :( That and all the kids in the nabe have grown up and flown the coop , that's farm talk for moved away ~ giggle ( ya ,ya I know you knew )
I am a HUGE fan of Modern Family , watch the reruns by the dozens too ~ great for the laugh o meter . We need all the laughs we can get lately.
Same here. 17 years and not a single trick or treater. We drive 25 minutes into town to trick or treat in a neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteOur fav of all time is Everybody Loves Raymond but I do like Modern Family.
ReplyDeletei loved linds' costume that year. i remember thinking: suz is BRILLIANT!!!!! you know, i think that a lot <3
ReplyDeleteLove the pics! We only had 2 trick or treaters and I get paid to watch them after school. Living on 60 acres....yeah we are the neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteEBOLA, ack! My daughter has finally calmed down over the whole thing, but man o man, I really got tired of the panic going around on the news.
ReplyDeleteI didn't have any treaters either, but that's okay, I didn't buy any candy anyway. :)
Ebola! Candy! Oh my!
ReplyDeleteLove "oil and water" :-)
I got quite the workout getting up, walking to the door, sitting down, repeat for four hours.
Funny that your girls chose such diverse costumes.
ReplyDeleteWe don't get many trick or treaters either, since we live down a country lane.
I have never seen it. Should I try to find an episode right now?
