The Sinking {ship} Chair

The chair was used and abused.

Mostly because it was shared by this little nugget and her padre'.

And on occasion...the felines like to use it too.

The front, the side, the back....it was all fair game for Cocoa.

I knew the chair was on it's last legs...but I was bound and determined to make it last as long as Cocoa.

Sadly, my determination has failed. It's become a sinking ship....and apparently, the Captain was going down with it.

She's trying to ignore the fact that......

the ship is sinking and she is deathly afraid of the water.

We found a new chair on Sunday and thought about it for a few days....I had to let it marinate in my brain and today I handing over the moola for it.
You'd think Cocoa would volunteer to chip in some of her cookie fund. You'd think.

  3. The photos of Cocoa in that chair are hilarious. I hope you picked a good replacement, after all we wouldn't want Cocoa (or the coach) to be uncomfortable. ;-)

  10. Our cats have wrecked several items of furniture (hahaha - FURniture!) around here. One of those is a couch which Gregg decided to dislike almost as soon as we bought it (go figure), but the others are chairs that belonged to my Nana and we are going to have to bite the bullet, eventually, and have them re-covered. Aiieeee...mucho $$. For now, we have hole-y armchairs.

  11. Sometimes I think about the new bed spread and new sofa I'd like after my kitty gets her wings..not that I'm rushing her off. But oh, the hair! Looking forward to seeing the new piece in place. With everybody and everything else in its place on top. ; )

  15. AH---hope Coach and Cocoa like their new chair... Sometimes, it's hard to break in a new chair. We all do get used to our old faithful ones, don't we? We are creatures of habit ---and don't like change... SO--I'll be anxious to hear how those two like their 'new' chair!!!!!

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  16. I'm sure Coach will like the new chair, but I'm sure about Cocoa. She looks comfortable on the old sinking ship. Do you think she'll be as comfortable on the new chair? Do you have room for both chairs?

  17. Thoreau said something like "I would rather have a pumpkin all to myself to sit upon than be crowded on a velvet cushion" and these pics make me think of that :)
