But I did imply that we would have a sunflower garden.
Too bad that wedding could't have waited for the flowers...
Bright yellow~
Light yellow~
Mellow yellow~
Inside and out~~~I'm digging them!
Making a production out of everything since 2008
They are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like this layout!
they DID grow!!!!!!
ReplyDeletethe "mello yellow" made me laugh :) the bouquet looks great on our table... bringing the sunshine (or lack of?!) in!!!
I love sunflowers! Nadia planted quite a few of them in her veggie bed, but sadly not a lot of them germinated. :-( Either that or the chickens ate the seeds...
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Looks like the wedding could have waited!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! Out toward our property is entire field :)
ReplyDeleteSunflowers are happy flowers!!! I am getting tickled at the dog and cat though. They are keeping an eagle eye on you to make sure you don't stray too far from them.
ReplyDeleteThe wedding was obviously several weeks too early. Your sunflower garden is every bit as good as a rose garden. Your flowers are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhen I graduated from college and moved back in with my parents to do my credential program, I had a sunflower room. So bright and cheery!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter-in-law loves Sunflowers like you do.. She has some in her yard --and they were featured everywhere in their wedding last October... Yours are gorgeous. George and I will go to Biltmore in August to see the rows and rows of sunflowers...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
The flowers are so pretty, and they make a great snack, too! Are you going to roast the seeds? Will you tell us if you do?
ReplyDeleteLove those sunflowers! (I tried to grow some a couple years ago and they only grew to about 6 inches tall!!!) Have a great weekend.

There is a farm in the area that would plant sunflowers every year until the past two years. I decided we needed a few just outside our garden fence this year and not one of the dad blamed things came up!! I was extremely disappointed and will have to try something different next year. Not even ONE came up... Waaaaah.
ReplyDeleteState flower of Kansas! Nice!!!
ReplyDeleteYou did well! They are gorgeous! (if a wee bit late!) lol
