TGIF; Goals, Shanking the kids and Other important stuff.

I am so happy to see Friday on my calendar this week…

After pressure cleaning Mon-Tues-Wed, by Thursday my upper body was crying. I felt like I had been juggling 4 wiggly baby dolphins while covered in olive oil.  The baby dolphins were covered in oil, not me.

So I changed my scenery and did some fall decorating yesterday.

How cute are these? P1030431

All I purchased was the green moss. I had everything else scattered about. So, I scooped up some fall and put it in a vase.  Maybe this will encourage Mother Nature…Please let me turn off the A/C!!!!

I may suck lemons at algebra, but I can create some cuteness!!! And we all know what is more important right?

Goals for Suz this weekend:

Work on scrapbooks. Lo’s 16th birthday pictures must be put in…before her 17th birthday!

Shank both children for not working harder in school the last few weeks.

misc. laundry and ironing.  yay me.

Grow 3 inches. In height please, not width.

Pressure clean the driveway and side porch.

Win lottery. Goshdarnit.

Solve global warming and enact world peace.

Hope to have it all done Saturday night, freeing up my Sunday for R & R.

Have you set any goals for yourself?

****

****My thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathies go out to those families, friends & comrades involved in the Fort Hood tragedy. My Cuz Chris is there and thankfully he is fine. I have no words to describe how disappointing and sad it is when things like this happen…no words.****

*****

I wish for you all a safe weekend with those you care about.  Do something fun and worthwhile, but remember to always think of me while you are having fun. However, please don’t think of me while you are at the dentist, gyno, or a funeral.

  4. Very cute fall decorating. Gosh darn it you make me tired just hearing about all the work you've been doing.

What a list you have for the weekend. Wow! The only thing I have on my list is to have fun because I am leaving this morning for a girls weekend!!! I promise to think of you when I'm having fun!

Yes, I think what happened at Fort Hood is extremely sad. And you are right, there are no words. My prayers go out for all of them there and their families.

Have a great weekend Suz! Hope you take some time to catch your breath and relax!! XXOO Lori

  7. I'm very thankful Chris is ok. Such a tragedy for so many.
Don't you overdo this weekend - I'll be happy to just get the leaves off the porches. They are falling fast!

  8. Your little piece of fall is very pretty! : )

Yes, this Fort Hood thing is just beyond me. So terribly sad. Sometimes life (and people) are just awful and I hate that.

  9. That slippery dolphin thing was starting to sound a bit kinky! How does your mind work?

  11. Yeah, I'll put winning the lotto and growing 3 inches on my list too. I would settle for finding an extra $20 bucks and half an inch. Love the decorations! You think you'd have time to come over and decorate for me?

  12. George and I have been raking and blowing leaves ALL week---and my legs are telling me that I'm not as young as I was 10 yrs. ago. DARN!!!!

Glad Chris is okay at Fort Hood. What a horrible thing to happen.

My goal this weekend: Burn down Al Gore's home in TN since he has about 4-5 more all over the world--while he racks up millions fooling people into believing that there really IS Global Warming... GADS!!! (Sorry--that was UGLY!)

    Have a great weekend....
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  15. I'm thankful that your dear cousin is safe. I can't imagine what he, his new bride, and all of the good folks on base must have been feeling. God bless them!
You rock, Suz. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

  16. What a relief your cousin is fine. Sometimes it just feels that the world is spinning off it's axis.

  17. I'm so glad your cousin is safe.
Great decorations for fall. Quite creative, and much better than algebra. What could algebra do to enhance your home? Equations are not beautiful.
    Goals? No thanks.

  18. Very lovely, Martha! :-D

I could send you a blast of cold autumn air or six... Have been wearing coat, hat, scarf and gloves for weeks now. It snowed this afternoon, then it melted. Chilly damp.

You know what I think about the USA's policy on letting anyone and everyone have guns.

    Insanity breeds deaths.

    Sad :(

  19. I love the vases! You are so creative. I love putting christmas bulbs in vases. I think they look so cute and festive! :) I may have to do this when I get my own place again!

I am so glad your cousin is safe. My heart goes out to all the men and women who are based there. I hope God heals their hearts from the loss and scare.

    :) Have a good weekend.

My goal is to just spend as much one on one time with boog as possible. :) It may not sound like much, but you know how two year olds are! :)

  20. I'm glad to hear that Chris is safe and sound at Fort Hood. It's especially sad that those men and women were killed and wounded in a place where they should have been safe.

As a former algebra teacher I'm giving you a pass in algebra since your artistry is so ourstanding. I hope you'll be able to turn off the air-conditioning!

Have a restful Sunday. You're going to be busy today.

  21. I haven't grown any yet, Have you? Your fall decorations look great! I'm behind on everything - my husband's gone for 2 weeks and I'm doing NaNoWriMo - these are my excuses :) Glad to know your cousin is okay. What a tragedy.

  22. Cuteness is way more important than math. I love the display, you are so creative! I'm trying to decide if it's too early to put out my Christmas stuff (since there is no Thanksgiving here, can it ever be too early?) because they are the only decorations I have. Hmmm.

I want to grow 3 inches too, let me know how you do that! :)

    Happy weekend!

  23. I love your cute fall decorating touches! I'll try to help you with the global warming and world peace problem. I'm also trying to stop Alaska's aerial gunning of wolves and restore their federal protections. It's going to be a busy weekend!!! :-)
    Signed,
    Your fellow tree hugging friend

  24. Well, it's Sunday morning, so you should have half of those things crossed off your list by now. How's it going? I'll be disillusioned if you don't get them all done. Because to me, you're superwoman.

  25. I love your fall deco!! Don't work too hard and end up sick....yuck is all I can say about that. I'm still vegging out and trying to recoup.

  26. We don't have air con, have no need for it ever, and at the moment have the central heating fairly continuously. I am so jealous I can hardly speak.
    Meanwhile-love the decorations.
I just thought I would point out- over here the word shanking means knifing. MMMMH!!

  27. Those look great and you gave me an idea! xoxo.

  28. I'm trying to grow 3 inches, firm my ass, organize my basement, shank MY children for slacking off in school, win LOTTO, and turn Viggo Mortensen into my personal masseuse (yes, that's a euphemysm for something else - naughty ME!) all before bedtime tonight. Think it can be done? ME TOO! :)

You know what is ironic about the Ft. Hood tragedy? My friend John's father was a military psychiatrist stationed there (years ago). I'm sure he has some very strong feelings about what has happened.

I'm very glad Chris is OK... I'm sure there were anxious moments for your family...

Take care, sweet friend o mine.. love you.

    T.
