This, That and the Other thing...

Do you ever get a song stuck in your head and it lasts for DAYS?????

Coach and I had a slight disagreement about an old song recently.

I thought I knew who sang it, and he thought he knew who sang it.

Well, shucks he was right. SNAP. That is so annoying.

But even more annoying...is not getting it out of your head.

I woke up out of a dead sleep recently and was trying to remember how to make Tuna for a sandwich. Crazy right? For the life of me, I could not remember if you put celery in it..then I remembered you can but that I also like to put relish in it too.


Then a light bulb went off in my head when I thought
of this particular relish:

If you have not ever tried Wickles Pickles or Wickles Relish, you are missing out on one of life's tastiest pleasures.

They have a sweet flavor to start, then get a bit tangy and spicy.
The kids and I can't get enough of them and can't eat any other kind of pickle now..... They are "wickedly Delicious"
They are sold at the corner grocery store.
I put the pickles out as an appetizer and everyone loves them.

Gotta go make some tuna salad.....

Dead Ringer

I just knew Debbie Mazur from HBO's Entourage looked familiar to me.....

She was the original barbie!!!!

The randomness never ends with me....

I dreamt the other night that I was backing up my car and I accidentally ran over a little boys' Tinker Toy Set.

The little kid came out from nowhere and started yelling at me that I "ruined" his toy set.

I apologized to him, but was thinking to myself: "you are so lucky I did not run over you because I did not see you or your toy set."
That was a few days ago....I can not stop thinking about it.

Every time I get in the car and back up, I remember what I did and what I COULD have done.

Very strange. Like always. Strange dreams.

Really though, Tinker Toys? What is going on in my head?

Could it be related to my thoughts recently of my childhood toys.

You know all the stuff you outgrew or broke. I wish I had some of it still.

I miss my Barbie Country Camper.

I love to tell my kids that I only had dirt and rocks to play with as a kid, but really I had a couple of nice toys.

The barbie camper was deluxe. There were great little folding chairs to set outside for dining al fresco.

My Brother had the GI Joe hunk and the jeep to go along with him. GI Joe and Barbie used to rendezvous in the back yard for fun. I suppose now they call it "hooking up".

That reminds me....I had the most fantastic kitchen set at one point. It was a Christmas gift from Santa. It was rust/orange colored and metal.

I had a side by side fridge, YES, side by side, a lovely oven with above top microwave and a working sink. Yes, I said a working sink. (don't hate)

I could get water to come through the faucet.

I am now realizing my appliance fetish started very young.

I remember one day taking the entire set out to the back yard.

This is early evidence that I wanted an outdoor kitchen too, I was way ahead of the times.

I think it was left out there though and rusted in the Florida rain. Such a waste.

The kids had a 1/2 day this week. It is October. It is supposed to be cold.
Lo and her friend were trying to get rid of their farmers (softball) tan and sat by the pool, then played Volleyball in the driveway.
Yes, she still has on her cast. Yes, I am still Mother of the year.
Lord, if only I could wear a bikini again.....

The Dessert I made was FanFrigginTastic.

One of the best desserts I have ever made. And I mean ever.

Pumpkin Pie Crumble Cake. Everyone Loved it at the halloween party.

The house still smells so good from baking it.

yes Mom, we will be adding this one to our already overflowing table of desserts for Thanksgiving.
