File this under: A Domestic Love Affair.

My Review of the Steam Mop.

Being the domestic goddess that I am, I thought I should share….

Cause you know you NEED to know. Ya' know?

I will admit , I don’t like it.

shark-steam-mop

I LOVE it.

I LOVE HIM!

I got the newest version of the Shark.

I am told that the earlier versions had shorter power cords...this one is perfect. It also has an extra large 'head' for my extra large house.

(bed bath and beyond w/ the 20% off coupon!!)

He is the perfect companion to Rosie.

Rosie comes in and sucks up all the debris and HE steams the nastiness away.

I did not know I needed one of these until I had 2 good friends tell me so.

Yep, I have friends like that. They even tell me if I have pepper in my teeth!!

I used him on the porcelain tile floor and he did a wonderful job. I always felt like I was just mopping my dirt around the tile before…you know, moving it from the tile to the grout. When the dirt hit the grout, it held on for dear life.

This works better. The floors look great.

I have even brought him out for quick clean up jobs. (umm..hello? Dog pee. Thank you lightening storm!)

Works great on the pergo laminate floor in the bedrooms.

I used it last weekend in our bathroom on the to-die-for marble floors…it worked just wonderfully!!!

No cleaners + No chemicals = Awesomeness!!!!

I give it 8 thumbs up!!! (I'm an octopus?)

I will never go back to my old Mop again...ha ha.

** Baby come back...that commercial gets me all the time.

Swiffer my butt!**

**I was not paid to do this review**

I Just wish I had been….

  1. I've wondered about the steam mops, but I only have hardwood, tile (think 60's style in the bathrooms, here!), and the snap in laminate. Wonder if it would work on those?

  2. I have a BB&B coupon in my pocket and I'm on my way to buy my very own Shark! Thanks for the review. What, no name for him yet???

  4. I had never given thought to having a steam mop. But your post has me looking at them Online. Pretty impressive. I just might get one.

  5. Do they come with someone to do it for you?

  7. Oh my! Your bathroom floors ARE to die for! And I had no idea that the mop didn't require a cleaner to go with it. I thought it was like everything else out there that had to be pumped with something else before it could work. Glad I read this. Now I just have to wait a couple more months to get it since we just bought our big clunky shampooer... which, I'm actually really really happy with. :) Even though it's clunky.

Oh and if you like giveaways, I'm having one today. And yesterday. Go enter! It's fun! I'm excited!

  9. I didn't know you could use it on laminate--right now my son vacuums and my daughter goes after with a polisher and laminate spray--I think I will have to buy this!

  10. Oh geez, I am already so in love with my Dyson...is there room in my life for someone else? I must.find.out!

  11. We have a tiny little kitchen area, in which I make my husband clean the floor on his hands and knees. I am wonderful.

  12. Sweetness!!! I get those BB&B coupons in the mail all the time. There are hardwood laminate floors where I'm moving so I'm on it!!

  13. You may have just sold me, my friend. I've contemplated buying one for years, but never took the plunge. Actually, it sort of worked to my advantage, since they keep upgrading it. Since someone who actually CLEANS is recommending it, I just may have to get one now. I'll probably go crazy the first day, and clean every possible surface in my house. Then, it can sit in the corner and collect dust, like everything else I've ever bought. :(

  14. You're the only person in the WORLD who could get me excited about a mop. Really. I'm actually excited now.

  15. I have been DYING to get one of those but didn't know if it was as good as the hype. Me thinks it certainly is!

And hello, Bed Bath and Beyond takes expired coupons. So if you'd had that coupon for a while, take it in anyway. They will take it! I saved $20 on a blender with an expired coupon! :-D

  16. Cute post---and one that the Shark Company should pay you to do their commercials....

I'm still a Swiffer person --and seldom use it. Why would I switch ---if I don't even use the old one?????

I'm with Woody.... Do they come with someone to use it for you?????? ha ha ha....

I'll work in your yard ---if you'll come and clean my house!!!!
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  17. I am going to buy one this week-end!!!! Yay, yay, yay. I just need to find a coupon.

P.S. I think Mary and I live in the same house. I should introduce myself, I guess.

  18. I want to send you my crappy Shark, I loathe the dang thing! Awkward to push around, gets stuck everywhere, leaves horrendous streaks on both ceramic tile and laminate flooring, uggghh disaster.

I'm glad you love yours though... I wanted so much to love mine! Wah!

The only thing that cleans these floors is a mop with a microfibre cloth (washable, yey!) and a spray bottle of water and vinegar mix... or swiffer floor cleaner product, which smells alot nicer - important when showing our house.

  19. ...cool!! Thanks for the review. A friend mentioned it really works. I'm going to get one. It works on wood too, right? She said it did... (btw, beautiful bathroom!!)

  20. I'm glad you like your steam mop, and I think you should be paid for this ringing endorsement!

  21. So I suppose I have to GOOGLE this now, to find out HOW it works. HOT steamy? Woohoo, sounds good! Does it pick up its own moisture, or do you have to mop up afterward?
    So many questions.
Do you have an 800 number I can call, so I can pepper them with my ignorant queries?
    You are a riot!

  22. HA!! maybe i will get one for mothers day!! i would probably let the kids learn how to clean the floor with something less cumbersome then my old mop!!
